In my free-time between clients I really like to explore the boundaries between programming and design. Often this involves writing code that sets up the rules of a system or game. Instead of illustrating something by hand these programs can be run over and over, each iteration randomizing the initial variables. In this way I am moreso discovering the emergent beauty of each system rather than dictating any one image myself.
After generating many images with varying differences of shape or colour I can then go through them and select any that I think are particularly interesting or pleasing.
